It detects faked banknotes by checking all 4 security features on authentic banknotes (ultraviolet, magnetism, infrared and paper quality) - therefore the BT 400 has got a certificate of 100% counterfeit detection from the European Central Bank (ECB). Banknotes can be entered in any direction so that the user does not have to mind how to handle the detector. The device is on the latest state of the art, it´s very reliable and easy to use. The BT 400 can be used stationary (by cable) or mobile by battery use.

Certified counterfeit detection

Manufacturers of cash handling machines have got the possibility to test the counterfeit detecting functions of their devices with the European Central Bank (ECB). Therefore, the ECB provides a set of current counterfeits. If a banknote counter or counterfeit detector is able to detect all counterfeit and all authentic banknotes correctly, the ECB gives a certificate of 100% banknote detection. The results of these tests can be seen on the websites of the European Central Bank (ECB).
